Refund and Returns Policy

At Kamba K9, all paracord and BioThane collars are handmade to order and individually created for each customer.

Each product is made based on:

  • The measurements supplied by the customer.
  • The selected pattern or material.
  • The chosen hardware configuration.
  • Any approved colour matching design.

Because our products are bespoke and personalised, different rules apply compared with standard off-the-shelf products.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this policy.

Bespoke and Made-to-Order Products

Under UK consumer law, personalised goods and goods made to a customer’s specifications are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation period that applies to many online purchases.

As our collars are handmade specifically for your dog using your supplied measurements and approved choices, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds where:

  • You change your mind after ordering.
  • You no longer require the product.
  • Your personal preference changes.
  • You dislike the colour arrangement after approving it.
  • Your dog grows or changes size after ordering.
  • Incorrect measurements were provided by the customer.

This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, or not made according to the agreed order specifications.

Customer Measurement Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements.

We provide measurement guidance, including:

  • Website instructions.
  • Video guidance.
  • Written guidance.
  • Human customer support before ordering.

If you are unsure how to measure your dog, please contact us before placing your order and we will be happy to assist.

Because each collar is handmade according to the measurements provided:

We cannot offer refunds, replacements, or free alterations where a collar has been correctly made but does not fit due to incorrect measurements supplied by the customer.

Examples:

Not eligible for refund:

  • A customer provides an incorrect neck measurement.
  • A collar is ordered using an outdated measurement.
  • A dog grows after the collar has been made.
  • The wrong size is selected despite the available sizing guidance.

Eligible for review:

  • We manufacture a different size from the one ordered.
  • We supply incorrect hardware or materials.
  • The product does not match the approved order specifications.

Handmade Variations

Every Kamba K9 collar is handmade individually rather than mass-produced.

Due to the handmade nature of our products, minor variations may naturally occur, including:

  • Small differences in weave tension.
  • Minor variations in final finish.
  • Slight differences in colour placement.
  • Small variations in final length.

We aim to produce every collar as accurately as possible according to the approved order details and selected size range.

Handmade tolerances do not permit a product to differ materially from the agreed order specifications.

If a collar has been manufactured incorrectly compared with the approved order, this will be handled in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

Colour Matching Service

Our bespoke colour matching service is included at no additional cost.

Customers may provide a photograph of their dog, and we will suggest colours that complement their dog’s coat and appearance.

Customers may also request specific colours or preferences.

Before manufacture begins, we will provide the proposed colour arrangement for approval.

Once approved, the colour arrangement becomes part of the agreed product specification.

Colours cannot be changed, rejected, or disputed solely due to a later change in personal preference.

Please note that colours may appear slightly different due to:

  • Screen settings.
  • Lighting conditions.
  • Differences between photographs and physical materials.

Faulty or Incorrect Products

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If your product is faulty, damaged, or does not match the agreed order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Examples include:

  • Manufacturing defects.
  • Faulty hardware.
  • Incorrect size made by us.
  • Incorrect pattern or material supplied.
  • Product not matching the approved order.

Where appropriate, we will provide a remedy in accordance with your consumer rights.

This may include:

  • Repair.
  • Replacement.
  • Refund.

Damage Not Covered

We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by:

  • Dog chewing or biting.
  • Accidental damage.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Incorrect cleaning methods.
  • Exposure to chemicals or harsh environments.
  • Damage caused by another animal.
  • Continued use after visible damage has occurred.
  • Use outside the intended purpose of a normal walking collar.

No dog collar is indestructible.

Owners should inspect collars before each use and replace any product showing signs of damage.

Returning Faulty Items

If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us before returning it.

Please provide:

  • Your order details.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Photographs where appropriate.

If a fault is confirmed, we will work with you to provide an appropriate resolution.

Where required by law, reasonable return costs for faulty goods will be covered by Kamba K9.
